Matteo Rubbi, winner of the 2011 Furla Prize and ASU’s artist in residence, traveled to us from Italy in early December of this year. Rubbi has, in only a short time, created the tradition of ”Magic Friday” in the museum where he and his girlfriend, French artist Beatrice Bailet, cooks delicious meals for the museum staff, adding a performative aspect on behalf of the museum staff as well as the artist. Rubbi will be here for the next six months, cooking more enticing meals and bringing people together for a delicious and collaborative experience.
